If you have any suggestions or questions regarding the sliders we're definitely open to discussion about them. These are just the sliders that we feel generates the most realistic hockey.

well for realism why no injuries or stick breaks.... or computer or teammate penalties

Because even on 0 these things still happen for some reason. Injuries happen way too often on most sliders, and I've never been a fan of CPU penalties because it punishes the player even if they didn't make any mistakes.

Yeah...so we should only have 1-2 power plays a game? I'd turn it up a notch or two at least. Injuries should happen...look at the real NHL.

Injuries DO happen with these sliders-I just had 2 injuries in a game. The injuries slider is fine. I'll monitor powerplays but so far they've been fine as well, I've had much more than 1-2 a game.
The reason you still see powerplays and injuries is because of maxed attribute effectiveness, so discipline, strength and durability are still all very important for penalties and injuries, respectively.

Yea. Trust me. More than regular CPU Teammate penalties still happen with it set to 0.
Injuries too. And again, still too many to be "Realistic" This helps at least though.
I don't even think the sliders change the breaking of sticks. It still happens all the fucking time when its at 0 lmao.

I've had CPU Ovechkin take two penalties for me in 4 games so far, so it's still alive with it set to 0.

I suggest moving the hitting up a little. With the hitting so low, most hits don't do anything and everyone just spams the poke check more often.

We find that the hitting being low makes for more realistic style gameplay. You battle for the puck with little hits instead of bone smashing boarding penalties It's too over the top if not, it still is sometimes.

The hitting is so unrealistic in most sliders-guys like Gaborik are some of the best hitters in the game because of EA's poor interpretation of the physics. I've found with the hitting sliders up going into the corners is virtually impossible as well unless you want to get stuck in EA's humping animation until you get lucky and can pass or shoot. Games also resemble a WWE match more than a game of hockey. There still are huge hits, as well, you just seem from guys like Phaeuf, which is the way it should be.
If you have an issue with the pokes I suggest protecting puck/using the right stick more, if IRL if you brought the puck close to an NHL-caliber defenceman they're going to poke it virtually everytime, not the inconsistent mess that EA's default pokes are.
Sorry for the essay I just drank a coffee lol.

Have you tried turning wrist shot accuracy down another notch or two? Thats what my friend and I did and we found a lot of the "cheese" goals don't work anymore. You do miss the net a little more (nothing drastic), but you do in real life too right. Opinions?

Yeah we were thinking about turning goalie reaction speed up one but so far we've liked how good chances from deep in the slot go in a lot like they should. We're gonna wait a rotation or two to give everyone a chance to get used to the sliders, and the buffed defence in particular, then maybe change some stuff up if necessary.

Yeah thats another setting we have maxed (Goalie Reaction). I know it's hard to find the right settings that everyone will be pleased with. I just go with the flow though don't matter to me what they are.
